The origins of the name Kif-Kif Bledi
Kif-kif comes from the Arabic word كيف / kif /, adopted by soldiers in the armies of North Africa and dubbed to express "same, the same".
بلد / balad / generally designates the country. For city dwellers it is synonymous with the countryside, and for emigrants, with the country or village of origin. The final i indicates the possessive.
The expression Kif-Kif bledi conveys the idea that each individual, wherever he is and whatever his origin, can develop freely while preserving his roots.

The Kif-Kif Bledi troupe promotes an openness to Arab-Amazigh (Berber) culture by exploring with a modern approach the dances from the traditions of North Africa and the Middle East.
Although all the dancers live and work in France, they are all immigrants or children of immigrants from countries as diverse as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Senegal.
The dancers are deeply aware of the issues concerning the image of North African and Middle Eastern culture in contemporary society and it is with pride that they offer visibility to the cultural richness of these regions. With their multiple identities, they invest themselves with rigor and passion in this visionary and humanist project.
The services offered by the Kif-Kif Bledi troupe
Versatile, the troupe offers a range of performances ranging from traditional repertoire (for private events, weddings, festivals and shows) to modernized and merged performances (for electro and world fusion events).
Kif-Kif Bledi also offers à la carte dance workshops in traditional styles from North Africa and the Middle East as well as fusion with Waacking, House or Indian dances.
Very adaptable, the troupe is also open to any form of artistic proposal.
Raïssa Lei

Raïssa Leï is the creator and choreographer of the Kif-Kif Bledi troupe. She is also an engineer. Amazigh zénète native of the region of Oujda in Morocco, she learns very early the traditional dances of the region: reggada, aarfa, hidouss, aalaoui ...
She is trained in modern'jazz, hip-hop and dances of the world. Her specialty is waacking, which she uses in mergers that she has created with her own signature.
The term Raïssa is both a tribute to the committed Amazigh singers of Western Morocco and means "president, director" in Arabic, referring to her status as artistic director of the troupe.
Astou
